Throughout the year Coastlink’s Peer Support provides short breaks away from the Coast for eligible clients.
This year we will be visiting the Dubbo Zoo and Nelsons Bay. We’ve enjoyed a night in Sydney to see “Wicked” and we will be seeing other great shows.
Eligible clients can attend sports and rec camps with their peers where they can have fun together while walking, swimming, cooking and eating together.
For younger clients we offer overnight breaks with the chance to visit great places like the local observatory, putt putt golf, Luna Park, Roar and Snore at Taronga Zoo, Ocean World in Manly and other great activities on the coast or in Sydney or Newcastle.
Our Community Options program provides monthly trips to places such as the Sydney Aquarium,
“Disney on Ice” and the Easter Show.
December
Each December the Lions Club of Gosford provides Christmas lunch for our carers in recognition of the
wonderful work carers do throughout the year.
The lunch is held at the Lions Hall in Russell Drysdale Street East Gosford and we usually have a visit from
Father Christmas and carol singing as well as great food and good cheer. Transport can be provided and
we can also provide respite is required.
The 2009 lunch was a judged a great success by everyone who attended.
