COVID SAFETY PLANS

Category: CEO Message

To our valued clients,

Coastlink has been closely monitoring the evolving COVID-19 situation across the country and we are continuing to update and implement measures in the best interests of our staff and clients.

We have COVID Safety Plans in place to cover all current activities, detailing how we are protecting our clients, staff and the broader community by following vigilant processes in areas including:

  • hygiene and safety
  • social distancing
  • recording contact details; and
  • staff wellbeing.

We have been officially recognised as a COVID Safe organisation and will continue to employ all measures to protect the health and safety of our entire Coastlink community.

In many cases, we are going above and beyond the NSW Health Guidelines so as to ultimately protect the vulnerable within this community.

We are currently not running any getaways and have ceased visiting pubs and clubs at the present time, to reduce any unnecessary risks posed by these venues.

We ask anyone who has recently visited a COVID-19 Hot Spot to please let us know, as you will not be able to access Coastlink services until you have been medically cleared to do so and completed mandatory isolation periods (no less than 14 days).

In many cases, Coastlink’s criteria for returning to supports is greater than the NSW Government’s guidelines. This is to ensure the safety of the many vulnerable people we support. Please ensure you speak to your coordinator if you require any additional information.

If you are unsure, please check the current list of COVID Hot Spots and follow the NSW Health directions to help protect yourself and others: nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates#latest-covid-19-case-locations-in-nsw

For all the latest information on this rapidly changing situation we encourage you to visit:  nsw.gov.au/covid-19

And as always, we will do our best to communicate all information and updates with you regarding changes to any Coastlink services and activities as soon as possible.

We also encourage you to speak to your Coordinators or contact the Coastlink office on 4321 1022 if you have any questions.

We very much appreciate your ongoing cooperation and support as we work together to protect one another.

Living your way,

John Davis
