Over the past seven years, long-time team member Brianna Cumming has brought her enthusiasm and positivity to several different areas of our organisation. This time, we’re finding out a little more about Brianna, and sharing her passion for sunshine, socialising and self-help!

When did you join our Coastlink team?

Back in 2016! I was a Support Worker in our Holiday Options Program (HOP) and Community Access team for a few years, and then as they opened, I transferred to the Gosford Apartments. I’m now in a completely different role and hassling everybody in Head Office with ALL of the questions.

Before Coastlink, what was your most interesting job?

Just before COVID hit, I spent some time living and working as an Assistant Store Manager at Starbucks in Whistler / Blackcomb Mountain, Canada! A dream chapter of my life.

What are your favourite places that you’ve travelled to?

Central America and Canada – beautiful parts of world where amazing memories were made.

Can you tell us what you like most about working with us?

The flexibility: we’re so fortunate to have so many umbrellas of the company we can work under. Also, the unwavering support since I began – supporting me to do what is best for me personally, while also encouraging professional growth.

Finish this sentence: I’m happiest when…

At work, it’s when everybody communicates well and all shifts are covered. Otherwise, it’s when the weather is warm and beach days are on the cards.

What does a typical day at work look like for you?

A bit of this, a bit of that, and a lot of wearing the ol’ Coastlink uniform.

What’s your favourite book?

Any book that’s about emotional / mental wellbeing… the whole self-help section, haha!

What do you love to do outside of work?

I’m a very social human, so catching up with loved ones, going for coffee, gym classes, travel and cleaning.
