Foundations for the future are set with yesterday’s celebration of the commencement of construction for the Central Coast’s newest accommodation for people living with disability.

Designed by Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) provider Casa Capace, the development will enable leading provider of disability services on the Central Coast, Coastlink, to provide Supported Independent Living (SIL) for two High Physical Support, three-bedroom villas in Gorokan.

Coastlink CEO, John Davis, says the new accommodation has set a benchmark in accessible housing design and will be a valuable asset to Coastlink’s growing residential program.

“Today’s ‘Foundation Party’ was an opportunity for us to celebrate this exciting milestone for the newest SIL accommodation for people living with disability on the Central Coast.

“Coastlink has partnered with Casa Capace because they put their residents at the heart of every design, with contemporary living facilities that have the flexibility to accommodate individuals with different support needs.

“These revolutionary villas feature state-of-the-art assistive technology systems to ensure all residents can live as independently as possible and enjoy these magnificent homes,” says Mr Davis.

Attending today’s event, Mr Davis and Casa Capace CEO, Michael Fuller, met with Coastlink participants and support workers to share in the vision for this new development.

“We are excited to be partnering with Coastlink in bringing our Casa Capace Specialist Disability Accommodation to the Central Coast, creating beautiful homes and living experiences for Australians with disabilities,” says Mr Fuller.

The purposefully designed accommodation is expected to be completed later this year.
