Permanent Accommodation – Supported Independent Living

In 2018, we opened our first Group Home, Rainford Lodge. And we’re currently exploring other permanent accommodation options.

All residents of Rainford Lodge are supported to live a life of choice and inclusion, enabling them to live as independently as possible, with a dedicated team of workers who strive to achieve these aims on a daily basis.

Rainford Lodge residents are funded by the NDIS, with funding also used to provide day programs, individual support and social support outings.

In 2020, Coastlink was proudly appointed as the Supported Independent Living Provider of Ability SDA's Ability Apartments in Gosford. Read more about our exciting new Supported Independent Living opportunities below.

Short Term Accommodation

Time away from your daily routine and network is refreshing.

A change of scenery brings new experiences, new people, and a new way of looking at things.

Coastlink’s short-term accommodation services help you plan time away from home, in a safe, supported and inclusive space.

You’ll experience what it’s like to live independently and build your capacity to do so, while having fun with friends.

Our dedicated staff are trained in supporting people with all kinds of disability and needs.

How they support you, depends on what you need and how long you need it.

Flexible short-term breaks at home, in the community or at our centres help you add to your skills so you can start living independently.

Ask us about our holiday options. We take our clients on amazing holidays, including cruises and hotel stays.

In Home - Overnight

Our specialised support staff also provide flexible overnight care for a child or adult with a disability in their own home.

We can help you live a fulfilling home life by developing the skills you need to live as independently as possible while you are still at home.

You’ll receive support with everyday tasks like cleaning, nutrition, cooking and personal care. As well as attending appointments, meeting friends, completing forms and using public transport.

You can choose how long our staff stay - a few hours a day, an evening, or a weekend.

Realising the vast need in Australia for specialist disability accommodation, Paul and Angie Simmons established Ability SDA in 2016 and embarked on several SDA building projects around the country.

With previous experience in aged care, finance and property development, Paul and Angie brought together a team of dedicated people with the goal of reducing the number of young people living in nursing homes.

Ability SDA builds large self-contained apartments that are well located, safe, tech-savvy, affordable and completely accessible for people with a disability.

These stylish, purpose-built apartments include access to onsite support providers to ensure tenants can live safely and independently, whilst becoming more engaged with their community and socially included.

Ability SDA is one of the pioneers of this space, providing more than 50 accessible apartments in five locations, Gosford Central, Gosford Showground Road, Guildford, Townsville and Villawood.

You can choose how long our staff stay - a few hours a day, an evening, or a weekend.
